Through the Goffstown School District library programs, we teach students information literacy skills and assess them in the following research areas
Use background knowledge - Use prior and background knowledge as context for new learning
Select topic - Identify a topic that matches assigned subject matter
Inquire and self-assess - Develop and refine a range of questions to frame the search for new understanding. Recognize new knowledge and understanding.
Identify resources - Find, evaluate, and select appropriate resources to answer questions.
Read, take notes, and organize information - Read, view, and listen for information presented in any format.
Understand digital citizenship / Cite sources - Follow safe, ethical and legal guidelines in gathering and using information.
